Special pipe with solar power to melt snow on the highway

Rajib Mallick, a professor from Worcester Polytechnic Institute are developing a pipeline of anti-freeze (anti-freezing) filled with liquid in it.

Pipeline which will be planted on the highway can absorb heat and will automatically make it into hot liquid and then if there is snow then the fluid will be released to melt the existing snow.

Another plus, there is hot liquid will also be used to as a power source for electricity demand in the vicinity.

According to the professor, the project would cost about U.S. $ 12,500 for the pipe along the 50 m and plus perawatn cost about U.S. $ 1,000.

It is expensive but he would return on investment within 6 months.
