Google To Invest in Wind Power Energy Generator

Recently, there is information the latest technology news that Google just invested $ 5 billion dollars to help accelerate the development of wind energy in the east coast of America. Enterprise information technology giant said it had prepared to finance 37.5% of the total needed. Fan-fan wind catcher of wind energy project is planned to be built offshore. The length of the line to be planted by the windmill stretches 563 kilometers from New Jersey north to Norfolk, Virginia. Offshore areas were selected on the grounds that the fans can catch the sea breeze blowing hard in this area.

In the first phase, Google promised to disburse the funds of 200 million dollars. Google states very pleased with this project because the center of wind power is clearly oriented toward green technology. "This is a great opportunity for us to help meet energy needs in large quantities and based on environmentally friendly," said Richard L. Needham, Director of Google's green business operations group. The first phase of construction of wind power center is expected to be finished in 2016.

This giant project itself on the idea by Good Energies, a design company that uses the energy center fan wind power as main energy source. In addition to struggling in the development of wind energy, Good Energies, established in 2001, is also engaged in the development of solar energy and green building.
